The mod restores Genders (as best as possible without modding) by changing the "Style" tab in character creation to "Gender."
In the Terraria 1.4.5 "Bigger & Boulder" update, Re-Logic introduced several changes:
- Removal of Gender Symbols: The traditional "male" (♂) and "female" (♀) binary icons were removed from the character creation screen.
- Transition to "Body Types" and "Styles": In place of a binary gender selection, the menu now uses "Styles" or "Body Types". Players can choose from multiple base body shapes that were previously locked to a specific gender.
- Separation of Voice and Body: Hurt sounds (voices) are no longer tied to the selected body type. Players can now independently choose their character's Voice and Pitch regardless of the visual sprite.
- Armor Style Toggle: A new setting allows players to toggle between "covered" and "exposed" Armor Styles at a dresser, effectively allowing any character to wear the male or female visual variant of a specific armor set.
- Gender Change Potion Update: The Gender Change Potion remains in the game but has been functionally updated to act as a "Style Change Potion," allowing players to swap body types and associated voice defaults after character creation.
